TradeAid Tatum Hogla Storage Basket wHandles Natural & Black Small

Overview

Trade Aid is a social enterprise creating fairness in trade. We work with food and craft producers around the world, and we support and educate kiwi consumers to join with us in creating a world where trade is fair for all.
This small rectangular storage basket with handles is hand woven from hogla grass and black cotton over a sturdy metal frame by skilled artisans working with one of our fair trade partners in Bangladesh.
Hogla is thick grass like plant that grows in the rivers and marshlands in southern parts of Bangladesh. Hogla leaves are cut and dried in the sun before artisans’ weave these to create a rope which is then woven into baskets.
Please note as these baskets are handmade, there could be slight variations in size, weave and colour. If you are ordering multiple baskets, our team will do their best to pick baskets that match.
