Overview

Trade Aid is a social enterprise creating fairness in trade. We work with food and craft producers around the world, and we support and educate kiwi consumers to join with us in creating a world where trade is fair for all.

This medium sized round storage bowl is hand woven from hogla and edged with black rope by skilled artisans working with one of our fair trade partners in Bangladesh.


Hogla is thick grass like plant that grows in the rivers and marshlands in southern parts of Bangladesh. Hogla leaves are cut and dried in the sun before artisans weave these to create a rope.
