Trade Aid Morgan Rectangular Storage Box Large

Overview

Trade Aid is a social enterprise creating fairness in trade. We work with food and craft producers around the world, and we support and educate kiwi consumers to join with us in creating a world where trade is fair for all.

This extra-large rectangular storage basket with inset handles is hand woven from kaisa grass wrapped with natural date palm leaf by artisans working with one of our fair trade partners in Bangladesh.

Kaisa is a natural and abundant grass which starts out a natural light green colour and as the grass dries becomes lightly tanned. Date palm leaf is from the Phoenix Sylvestris palm. A coiling method is used to make the baskets robust and rigid. In this product date palm is used to bind the Kaisa grass.
