The Upton is crafted out of quality FSC certified acacia timber and complements any outdoor alfresco area.

Comes ready to assemble in four recyclable cardboard cartons. FSC Forest Stewardship Council is a global certification system that encompasses environmental social and economic standards that ensure the forests are managed sustainably. What Is Olefin Fabric? Olefin is a soft lightweight woven fabric designed for outdoor use. It is an ecofriendly material made from synthetic materials known as polyolefins. It is highly resilient colourfast stain-resistant and durable.

CARE AND USE:

Caring for natural timber:

  • Ensure you oil timber with a clear timber oil immediately after assembly before exposing to the elements.
  • Continue to coat with a clear timber oil once or twice a year to maintain your furniture’s finish lightly sanding before applying if required.
  • For spot cleaning spray off any debris with a hose and brush off any dirt or debris with a soft-bristle brush.
  • Spores that create mould and mildew thrive in environments with dirt and moisture.
  • Dry with a soft cloth.
  • For more thorough cleaning we recommend using a hardwood cleaner.
  • Furniture should be thoroughly cleaned periodically and always before storing.
  • In addition we recommend using a hardwood shield protector which penetrates and protects hardwood furniture against mould mildew and ultraviolet rays.

Caring for fabric/cushions:

  • Before cleaning the cushions brush away any loose dirt.
  • This will help to avoid rubbing in existing dirt as the fabric is cleaned. Clean using a mild liquid detergent and tepid water.
  • Do not use abrasive powders or bleach.
  • If any spots or stains are noted be sure to remove them right away using a mild cleanser rinsing thoroughly with clean water.

General care and use:

  • Ensure furniture is dry and protected from the weather.
  • It is recommended to use an outdoor furniture cover and to store furniture in a cool dry area when not in use.
  • Before covering furniture needs to be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Cushions should be removed and stored in a dry place if possible.
  • Avoid letting water stand on the surface of your furniture and cushions.
  • When moving furniture carefully lift do not drag across the ground as may cause damage to the furniture.
  • Ensure no chemicals come into direct contact with the furniture if this occurs clean the furniture immediately.

Fittings:

  • Bolts nuts and screws should be checked periodically to ensure they are still secure. Do not over tighten as this may damage the threads.
